All of the items on this page were hand-crafted by special needs students at Neptune Beach
Elementary School. The students must first sort the beads by size, shape and color and then
match the colors to color word cards and number cards to form patterns. The medallions are
made by the students out of clay and then glazed by the students.
During this process, the students are increasing fine motor skills, their ability to discriminate
between attributes, counting, reading, color recognition, and eye-hand coordination. The
students are then improving their expressive language by communicating to others about the
project and team building skills. They are learning to identify and add various denominations
of money through the selling of items and have pride in meaningful completed tasks and the
feeling of accomplishment as they reach their goal.

All items are hand crafted by our special needs students and no two are exactly alike. If you
need a certain color combination, please specify in the special directions area. Also, all bracelets
are adult size. If you need child size, please specify that in the special directions area as well.
The monies raised will be used to take the students on a fabulous field trip at the end of this
school year. We are shooting for the stars- If we miss, we will still hit the moon!!
